Crochet Superstar Baby Blanket
I finished this quick Baby's afghan in just a couple days. The pattern is poorly written, but if you have made a couple Round Ripples you should be safe. There is no Rnd 8. I used Bernat Softee, with 2 balls of #30301 Baby Pink Marl and 1 ball of #02000 White. It is a free paper pattern at their store.
If you can't find it I have it here.
and the second side here.
From point to point mine ended up being about 25 inches. I used a Size G hook, and had enough of the white yarn left to do another afghan.

I wrote a tutorial hoping this will help.

well done again, i just don't know when you find the time?
Nice work, I love the shape and it's a great colour!
love it
Hey I had this pattern and I lost it! :( My coworker bought me all the yarn to make this blanket and I can’t believe I lost the pattern!
I see you have posted it, but yours is a bit blurry, and I swear I need to get my eyes checked or something because I can’t seem to read the lower half of it for the life of me. I have zoomed in and I still can’t see.
I was wondering if you can tell me how to do the last part of it.
I just need to know when to do the edge and how to do it.
hi I got this patter to but I'm a little confused and since you've finished yours maybe you can help me. after round 12 do we just do 2 dc in the top of the bobble or do we add an extra dc in ever consecutive A round?
Rnd 12 would read:
Rnd 12: With color A, sl st in next dc. Ch3, 1 dc in next 18 dc. *Ch 1. (Bobble, ch 3, Bobble) in next ch-3 sp. Ch 1, 1 dc in next 19 dc. **Skip next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 19 dc. Rep from * around, ending at
**. Join MC to top of ch 3.
Note: Make sure you have 19 dc on each side of your point. (19 dc, ch 1, Bobble, ch 3, Bobble, 19 dc, skip 2)
I will put up a tutorial for finishing this afghan.
Can you email me what to do for Row 8? I have gotten this far but don't know how to continue. Thanks.

Hi Jean, Sorry I don't have your email when you are anonymous. I have put up a tutorial on making this afghan. You will find the links at the bottom of the post. Part 1, 2 and 3. Hope this helps.
So appreciate your tutorial!! That missing Rnd 8 was really throwing me. I'm coming along on the blanket and love the way it's looking. Thanks for all the hard work you put into doing the tutorial.
Barbara - What a Blessing to find your Blog and the Tutorial for the Superstar Baby Blanket today! Last night, I started the first of two I plan to make for 2 nephews (brothers) whose wives are due in Jan. and Feb. It soon became apparent that aside from the print on the pattern being Small, there was no 'Rnd 8' and I was quite confused and frustrated by 1:30 a.m.! I decided to look online this afternoon and see if I could find instructions that I could print and make bigger - also, hoped that Bernat might have posted a 'correction.' Then I found YOUR site and the Wonderful Tutorial!! Thank you soooo much for taking time to do that!! I am most appreciative that I can now make them and don't have to find another pattern, as I wanted Something Different and the Star pattern had caught my eye.
Sincerely,
Lynden -
