Caron Yarn Mill Ends for Christmas How Cool Is That?

My very first Mill Ends. My husband got me 3 large boxes for Christmas. Here they are just spread out on
my dining room table. Mostly Simply Soft, so I am very happy. I will write a complete list of what I received tomorrow. I can't wait to line up those WIPS.

Here is the list of what some little elf at Caron's filled my boxes with, I am sooo Happy.

The final group I can't find at Carons site. It is a beautiful soft taupe, looking like the one under eco yarn, but more than likely a discontinued yarn. I am tickled that they gave me enough to really do something with, 7 pounds worth. It is lovely, could have been a heather?

An Adorable Little Shop 'Knit1Bead2'

While on our travels through Arizona we happened on a lovely town of Jerome. "America's Most Vertical City" and "Largest Ghost Town in America".
Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) between Prescott and Flagstaff is the historic copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Once known as the wickedest town in the west, Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents to a roaring mining community. Our first lucky strike was a rock and gem shop downtown, where we found several pieces for our collection.
We were directed from there to the higher level to dine at the Haunted Hamburger. We sat at the very end table on the deck outside which has a wonderful view of Jerome and the valley below. I indulged in the giant Haunted Chicken burger, and found it excellent. If you read the cardboard standup thing at the table, it talks of ghostly apparitions, the only apparition in that restaurant was our waitress.
On the way down the steps from the restaurant I happened to glance to the left and there was a lovely little shop called Knit1Bead2. An amazing collection of yarns and beads. I browsed forever, and ended up with a few purchases. They have a website: http://www.knit1bead2.com/
All in all a wonderful excursion through Arizona.

Emily's Round Ripple

Emily, my new daughter-in-law received this ripple for Christmas. It matches their main sofa. This was made from Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn!. Colors were: #20 Ivory, #320 Sea Blue and #103 Antique Teal. I used a H Hook.

Maleah's Round Ripple for Christmas

This was for Maleah for Christmas. Taking the picture against the green tile took from the color. Maleah has red hair and looks terrific in green. Again I used Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in: #130 Dark Olive, #140 Mid Green and #20 Ivory. I used a H hook.

06 Blissful Knitted Afghan for Dennis

From my favorite Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans, I made for Dennis #06 Blissful. I used Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in #160 Brown. I had ordered a darker brown online, but they must have substituted this brown. It turned out lovely though I had already made Jeff's from this same color. This was extra long since Dennis is 6'4".

Josh's Arkansas Round Ripple

This was for Josh for Christmas. He's a big fan of Arkansas. We had also gotten him an Arkansas Jacket so I used the black to match his other gift. Again I used Hobby Lobby's I Love this Yarn in #50 Cranberry and # 30 Black. This was made with a H hook.

Justin's Michigan Round Ripple

Justin is a giant Michigan fan even they just suffered a loss. This was for Christmas, only he didn't like the gold color. Have you noticed that most sweatshirts, and hats have Michigan with more of a yellow? So needless to say the day after Christmas We went to Hobby Lobby and bought the yarn to make him a Blue and yellow round ripple. (sigh).

This one is made from Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn!! in #156 SunGold and # 90 Navy. A G hook.
